The Apostille is a square form stamp, identical in all member states of the Hague Convention and that is applied directly on the document to legalize, or on an addendum to it.  Cannot be apostilled in Romania documents issued by other states.

PREFECTURE:

• At Prefecture, the APOSTILLA is applied on the administrative official documents, original, issued by the state institutions.
• The Apostilla can be obtained only from the Prefecture from the county where the holder has the domicile or at the registered office of the institution that issued it.

! The documents of study shall be apostilled only after they have been approved before by the competent institution from the Ministry of Instruction.

COURT:

• At Court, the APOSTILLE can be applied on the original documents issued by the Ministry of Justice (Courts, Trade Register)
